This most popular racing car model in the world was a perfect vehicle for testing the ev - TorqueBox®. Powered by an AC Propulsion motor (same as supplied to Tesla for the original Tesla Roadster) and Nickel Manganese Cobalt battery pack. It can do 0-60 in 3.9 seconds.

THE AVANTI PROJECT

David Heacock converted his 1985 Avanti Coupe into electric using our 1.90 :1 helical ev - TorqueBox®  (ev reduction gearbox/transmission) and a UQM power phase 100 motor and 96 KALB 100SC cells.
